3 Great diners in Salt Lake Utah
When visiting Salt Lake the first few things that come to mind are Mormons, you can not get a drink anywhere and the Mountains. I know Salt Lake may not be high on most peoples list of cool and exciting places, but being from Salt Lake, I can assure there is more than meets the eyes with this wonderful city.
There are however three must eat places when visiting Salt Lake. First on the list is Ruth's Diner located just up the mouth of Immigration Canyon. Here you will find a very nice and cute old school diner with a modern touch, the menu has items from old style comfort food to newer meatless dishes for those that prefer a healthier approach with food. Take the time and request to be seated outside in the warmer months, you will enjoy live music with a great view of the mountains and the sound of rushing water from the river near by.
Second on the list is the Blue Plate Diner located in Sugar House. You will find this to be the old school diner that your grandma or grandpa would have visited back in the day, it has a real local feel and honestly it is simple food with a great price and a terrific atmosphere.
The last but not least is the best damn bbq on the west coast. Q for U Bbq located in Kearns a suburb just outside of downtown Salt Lake. You have not had bbq like this before. I highly recommend this be one of your must stops in Salt Lake. To put they are simply the Bomb when it comes to bbq.
So next time you are in Salt Lake City, Utah, stop by any three of these fine eating establishments and enjoy what Salt Lake has o offer you will be surprised what you will find in this cool little city.
